Todd Fox's photography is a conscious effort to break free of the glamorous and superficial that overwhelms so much of contemporary imagemaking. He tries instead to illuminate the lives of ordinary people in ways that reveal the emotional connection we all share in our day-to-day lives. After graduating from the Herron School of Art in 1991, he began to travel extensively, always searching for those people and places that are on the fringe and documenting it all through his photography. His work has been seen in galleries in his hometown of Indianapolis as well as in Seattle, Washington. His 2006 portfolio of post- Katrina New Orleans was used by the FOX network in their shortlived television series K-ville and his Romania portfolio was spotlighted in the April 2007 issue of Black and White magazine.
